Grandpa Brookman passed away on March 13, 2006 at 87 years of age. Joel's grandfather leaves behind a cherished wife, 2 brothers, 2 children and their spouses, 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was a proud military veteran fighting in WWII, storming the beach on D-Day as well as taking in the Battle of the Bulge. He was awarded the Purple Heart, the Bronze Star and the meritorious Unit award for his action in Bastogne. Upon being discharged from the army, he raised a family, became a business man, an avid golfer and took part in barber shop chorus for over 20 years. A life lived...Future generations here, thanks to him...A life meant to be remembered.
