The clouds have lifted and the sun is brightly shining. My head is clearing as well, and my eyes are beginning to see the beauty of the light. Promise. Hope. Happiness.

I am happy today.

It's October 1st.... another month is long gone. I am hopeful for October. I had a pretty average month of September -- some really crappy things happened (or correction -- one REALLY BAD THING)...and some really good things too. We just celebrated my brother's birthdays (they turned 41)... For some reason, I adore this picture of me and the boys and my brother, Johnny.... LOL

My sister left for Hawaii today -- I'm insanely jealous of her but mostly really really happy for her and her life. She will be celebrating her 10th anniversary on the 9th -- an anniversary that Joel and I were short of.... I'm so happy for my sister.

Joel and I are really getting along which is such a blessing. I'm making an effort to be respectful of his life and his relationship as well. I am hopeful that it will keep up. It's just so much EASIER and the truth be told, I crave his acceptance and friendship more than I ever wanted to admit prior. So, I try.

School is in full blown mode....killing me most days, but still so happy to be working towards a goal that I've had for the greater part of my life.

Work is work.

The boys are great. Dane's doing great in baseball --and Cole in soccer. They are handling my crazy schedule quite well (again thanks to their father)...

I've continued my counseling -- bridged some friendships back together again -- and just feel good.

I have been laughing a lot -- and treasuring the time I have been spending with those that are in my life as of lately. Laughter.....I love my friends....they all make me laugh.

Case in point: I woke up this morning and my friend Jules pointed out that my blog is Striving to be Erma.... (wow! what insight! LOL) ... but what she went further to add is that when SHE sees it in her web browser, she reads it as "Striving to beer Ma." Now that is just hilarious...and perhaps the dual meaning is apropos....

so tell me, how do YOU read it!? :-)
