I have to just roll with what life hands me...after the boys got home yesterday -- at the time that we had originally set up but still fought about -- I made a conscious decision to relax and breathe.
We went outside and threw water balloons at each other -- I almost couldn't make them fast enough -- and then in the midst of giggling and laughter, the sprinklers came on! Brrrr -- so we all frolicked in the sprinklers until they went off and the water balloon war could continue. Justin was cleaning the jacuzzi and if there was a leak in the balloon those were "bombs" that meant "throw those at Justin." Poor guy -- sweating and working -- almost getting it completely cleaned out and dry when "KABLAMO." I couldn't help but laugh. Then we came inside -- made dinner and went and rented two movies via Redbox. It ended up being a nice family evening.
And, today -- is CLEAN day....I mean really...I just got done vacuuming under the couch and throw rugs. (It still amazes me that so much ick can accumulate under a couch IN ONE YEAR.) Next on the docket -- shampoo the carpets...make a frame for our map, put the laundry away...and then probably go for a swim. This summer has gone all too fast. Next week the teachers report back to school....the boys start the following Monday. woah.
Just simply too short and too fast to waste my energy on negativity.
...besides I do believe in karma.
