From my friend,
In my garden magazine, was a page that made me think of you, and I wanted to share it with you.....
It's called "Finding Your Sanctuary"... and although it is about gardening, I think it fits super well with life also.....
Just substitue the "lawn"and "gardening" stuff with "life" and "happiness", etc.......
".......... But a perfectly composed backyard escape - complete with all the elements of a peaceful refuge - won't bring you bliss if your head's in the wrong place. ...... "
"Many people make the mistake of believing that their moods create their thoughts. In reality, it is their thoughts that produce their moods."
"Give negative thoughts the boot, and make room for positive feelings. If you wanted to replace a glass of stale wine with fresh wine, first you must pour out the old wine. It's the same with clearing our minds of unwanted, stale thoughts." "To do that, we need to 'forget the past and the future, and just be."
"Live in the moment - enjoying the process of creating your garden rather than worrying about how it will turn out -- and you'll find your sanctuary."
The clouds have lifted and the sun is brightly shining. My head is clearing as well, and my eyes are beginning to see the beauty of the light. Promise. Hope. Happiness.
