The clouds have lifted and the sun is brightly shining. My head is clearing as well, and my eyes are beginning to see the beauty of the light. Promise. Hope. Happiness.

If dogs could talk.....what would YOURS say?

I had this strange dream -- my dogs were talking. For some reason, Dex would only talk to Joel -- but Scout was MY furry talking friend. I woke up thinking about it -- it seems to be an untapped market to me. :-)

Imagine it....dogs have seen it all....they have seen the ins and outs of every day life. You tend to almost forget your dogs are there, right? Like this morning, I went to the bathroom and Scout curled up at my feet....in the BATHROOM.

I wonder if there was a dog at OJs house? Jon Benets? Surely dogs have seen murders, affairs, robberies, and and infinite number of illegal activities.

Isn't it just kind of interesting to think about?

Or did I get up too early?

Ok, but seriously -- doesn't she just LOOK like she has something to SAY?

John Mark Karr -- Not Guilty by Insanity -- or something like that ....

Does this guy give anyone else frickin chills? He's so creepy -- like his body has no muscle or bones or something and just glides along like a slithery snake, with hollow eyes and laser hair removed face. He wishes he killed JonBenet Ramsey. He did not. Something is just not passing the sniff test on this one. He was too obsessed with her to "accidentally" crash in her scull.

I just stumbled upon this letter he wrote her....

JonBenet My Love,

You are with me. Your lovely glow surrounds me whenever I roam. Your light shines beyond the darkness. Once so close to you, now, your spirit speaks louder than your words, louder than once did your laughter - that spirited, funny, lovely laughter that no one speaks of in remembrance of you through we know that it once existed and now exists in a place beyond this life. JonBenet, my life, my life, I love you and shall forever love you. I pray that you can hear my voice calling out to you from the darkness - this darkness that now seperates us. We shall meet again and laugh together once more as we did in this life. If there is to be a life for me after this one. I pray that it will be with you - together forever with you and other little girls who are gone now from my life forever, this would be my Heaven. God rest thy lovely soul.

JonBenet, my love - I love you forever.

D"

YUCK....double triple, YUCK YUCK YUCK....

put the man away -- do us all a favor....but I'd bet his DNA clears him.....

British authorities claim to have stopped a terrorist plan against the US

(British thwart terror plot to blow up aircraft to U.S. )

Scary stuff... Thank God they did what they did and found what they found -- and hundreds, perhaps thousands of people were saved.

I didn't know anyone who was boarding any of those flights, however it still would have surely affected me. I sit here, one day before I am suppose to board a flight to California, and think about the possibility of becoming a pawn in a gruesome terrorist game. (I also can't help but wonder why when "they" do it to us, it is terrorism...Yet when we kill their people, it is justified cause. Hmmmm......) Anyway, it's highly unlikely. I'm simply flying from Arizona to California -- a measly one hour flight on Southwest Airlines (an airline which has never been targeted.) I know it's not going to happen. But, it just makes you think.

I am not afraid of death. I believe I will go on -- truly believe that this is just scratching the surface of the journey my soul is taking. So, in that way, I'm not scared. I will not change my routines. I will goto California and cheer on my favorite team, spend very much needed quality time with my husband and calm my spirit by the ocean. I can't wait.

Thinking, however, has a downside. Thinking about death causes me to wonder about the future of my children. I could manage crying this morning thinking about the sadness they would experience at the loss of their parents. I think about them. I worry about them. I love them.

Joel and I have life insurance all planned and set. Money would not be an issue...that is the only thing that wouldn't be an issue. I think that is terrifying. Dane and Cole are set to goto Kerry and Travis should anything horrific happen to us. I want the world to know that is our wishes. They will remain in Arizona -- at their own schools -- near family -- and with the 2 people that parent similar to us and love our children more than anyone else but us. I feel great about that.

And for the record, we are both complete organ donors -- not that that would come into play if we died in a plane crash, but just so you know.

**shake off the crazy thoughts**

California, here we come.... However we aren't allowed to bring our Jack Daniels on the plane, we'll just have to make a pit stop before we get to the beach house. Heck, if that's all the inconvenience we experience, I'd say we're pretty lucky, wouldn't you?

GO PACK GO!

Happy 40th Anniversary to my mom and dad

Aren't they just the best?!

I am proud of my parents -- for the love they share, the stuff they have made it thru, the children they have raised and the people they are. I'm a lucky girl to have such great examples in my life.

I love you mom and dad. I really really do.
